Litter Pick Up
The entire geographic area of the SSA has trash from the curbs and sidewalks cleaned each Tuesday and Friday If you notice an area that seems particularly dirty, please reach out.
Landscaping
The SSA provides seasonal landscaping to the current curb bump-outs on Lawrence Avenue and the existing free-standing planters on Elston Avenue. All of the planters are regularly cleaned of trash, watered, and planted with seasonally appropriate greens and flowers. Additionally, the public way is sprayed for weeds throughout the summer months that grow in between the sidewalk cracks in the area.
Security Camera Rebates
Property owners and businesses located in the SSA area are invited to apply for a security camera rebate. This program will open on January 1 2026, and is first come, first served until our budget runs out for 2026.

Holiday Decor
During December, the entire SSA area will be decorated with assorted holiday decor.
Bike Racks
New bike racks have been purchased and installed throughout the SSA boundaries.
Trash Cans
New trash cans have been purchased and will be installed throughout the SSA boundaries in late spring 2026.
Marketing
All businesses in the SSA are welcome to submit sales, specials and events to be promoted by PEBA and its marketing partners. The PEBA newsletter comes out on the 1st of each month. All promos should be submitted by the 20th of the prior month. Additionally, the SSA will be doing area-wide marketing by producing brochures and other materials.
Public Art
The SSA Commission is committed to public art. Each year, the SSA has sponsored three sculptures from the Chicago Sculpture Exhibit. Additionally, the SSA has sponsored murals and participated in the Art Institute of Chicago's Project Windows Exhibition.
